Coach Brandon Payne

Coach Brandon Payne has spent the last 8 years as the Head Track & Field Coach at Horizon HS in Scottsdale, Arizona. During this time he has also help the titles of Head Strength Coach as well as Defensive Backs Coach for the football team. This comes after doing a brief internship for the Arizona State University Sun Devils Sports Performance and Strength and Conditioning Department. Before that, in 2016 Coach Payne served as the Offensive Graduate Assistant Coach for the Lake Erie College Storm (D2) in Cleveland, Ohio. During his time at Lake Erie, Coach Payne coaches the slot receivers and running backs. Before going the Lake Erie College Staff, Payne spent 2 years coaching the wide receivers at Capital University (DIII( in Columbus, Ohio from 2014-2016. While at Capital University Payne also served as the teams Academic Coordinator. Before being hired at Capital University, Payne collected a wealth of coaching experience at the high school level. From 2010-2012 he was the assistant coach for both the track & field and football teams at Hoover High School (CA). With football, Payne oversaw the defensive backs and running backs at the freshman and junior varsity levels. In 2012, he moved on to Bonita Vista High School where he operated as the vastly defensive backs coach. He helps the same position at Clairemont High School in 2013. Over that time, Payne also volunteered as a coach with i9 Sports in Chula Vista (CA) in it's youth flag football, soccer, and basketball programs.

Coach Payne has earned a Masters Degree in Sports Management from American Public University in 2015 and prior to that earned hi bachelors in applied sports psychology from National University in 2013. This came after spending time studying at The Ohio State University.
